Jobs at AMS

Automated Maintenance Services has cleaned buildings across North Dakota since 1970, and the work is done by crews. If you want to be on one, this is where the route starts. AMS is an equal opportunity employer, and it hires for its branches in North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana and Idaho.

How crews are trained

Three stages, signed off in order

AMS builds its work on three keys: communication, training and technology. Training is the one a new hire meets first, and it runs in three parts.

  1. Stage 01

    Initial classroom training

Training at AMS begins in a classroom, with the basics taught before the on-site work starts.

  2. Stage 02

    On-the-job training

Classroom learning is followed by on-the-job training, where the work is learned by doing it in a building.

  3. Stage 03

    Recurring training

Training does not end after the first stages. AMS keeps it going with recurring training for the crews.

Behind the crews sits a management structure built to run the work well and still answer quickly when a customer needs something. To see the kind of work the training prepares you for, read about janitorial cleaning, floor waxing and burnishing and the company behind it.

Where to apply

Pick the branch, then reach out to it

AMS hires branch by branch, so the right person to talk to is the contact in the city where you want to work. Call or email that branch directly and say which job you are after. If you are not sure which branch is closest, the contact page or the Fargo office at (701) 235-4412 will point you the right way.
